Start with the label
The care label inside your garment takes priority because fibres and construction vary between pieces. When in doubt, use the gentlest method or ask a trusted specialist cleaner.
Gentle washing
For hand-washable pieces, use cool water and a small amount of mild detergent. Do not soak for long, rub embroidery, twist, bleach, or use fabric softener.
Rinse gently and press out water between clean towels. Avoid wringing, which can stretch the knit and disturb the shape.
Drying and shaping
Reshape the garment while damp and dry it flat away from direct sun or heat. Do not hang wet knitwear because the weight of the water can lengthen it.
Protecting embroidery
Keep jewellery, bag hardware, and rough surfaces away from raised stitches. If a thread catches, do not pull or cut it. Ease it back to the reverse with a blunt needle or ask a repair specialist.
Storage
Fold knitwear with tissue between embroidered areas and store it clean, dry, and away from sunlight. Avoid crowded hangers and long-term compression under heavy clothing.
Refreshing between wears
Air the piece after wear and spot clean only when the care label allows it. A cool steamer held away from the surface can relax light creasing, but avoid direct heat on embroidery.
